Remove vocals from a song online
Upload a song and get two WAV files: the instrumental without the vocals, and the vocals on their own. A neural network does the separation on our server — nothing to install.
How it works
- Drop a song above: WAV, MP3, FLAC, AAC/M4A, AIFF or OGG, up to 7 minutes.
- Our separation engine splits the voice from everything else. The page shows how much is left.
- Listen to the instrumental and the vocals right on the page, then download both as WAV files in a zip.

What people use it for
- Karaoke and covers: sing over the original arrangement.
- Practice: play along with the band, or study a vocal line on its own.
- Remixes and samples: a clean a cappella to build a new track around.
- A spoken tag on a beat: a voice laid over a beat goes with the vocals. A tag mixed into the music itself cannot be separated this way.
An honest note on quality
Neural separation is not the original multitrack recording. On most songs the instrumental sounds clean; on dense mixes, or when the voice has heavy reverb and effects, faint traces of the vocal or slight artifacts can remain in quiet passages. For karaoke, covers, practice and sampling it works well; for a full remix of a release, the original stems are always better.
After the separation
- Change the key of the instrumental to fit your voice: −6 to +6 semitones, tempo kept. One click from the result above.
- Master the instrumental in the lab: one free master every day, no account needed.
- Need the drums and bass apart as well? Split the song into 4 stems.
- Want a version without drums or bass? Remove drums and bass shows which stems to mix.
Is the vocal remover free?
Yes, within a daily limit: 2 songs a day without an account, and 3 separations a day with a free account (4 stems included). Beyond the free limit a separation costs 1 credit, charged only when it succeeds.
How long does it take?
Processing time grows with the length of the song, and a busy queue adds a wait.
What do I get?
A zip with two WAV files: the instrumental (everything except the vocals) and the vocals on their own. You can also listen to both on the page before downloading.
Will the instrumental be perfectly clean?
Not always. Neural separation does not recover the original multitrack recording. On dense mixes, or with heavy effects on the voice, faint traces of the vocal or slight artifacts can remain in quiet passages.
Is my song stored?
The result is kept for 24 hours so you can download it, then it is deleted.
Which files and lengths are accepted?
WAV, MP3, FLAC, AAC/M4A, AIFF and OGG, songs up to 7 minutes long.
Can I get drums and bass separately too?
Yes. The stem splitter separates a song into four stems: vocals, drums, bass and other instruments. It needs a free account.
