Tips for a cleaner result
- Start from the best file. A WAV or FLAC gives the split more to work with than a low-bitrate MP3.
- Judge the mix, not one stem. Each stem is estimated from the finished song, so it can sound rough alone and still fit the mix.
- Expect some leakage. Hi-hats can end up in other, and on dense mixes the kick and the bass share the low end. A small level cut on the leaking stem usually hides it.

An honest note on quality
Neural separation does not recover the original multitracks. Each stem is an estimate, so faint leftovers, such as hi-hats in the other stem, are normal, and they are easiest to hear when a stem plays alone. For practice and remixes the results are usually good; for a commercial release, use the rights holder’s originals.
