Mastering for Suno tracks
A track straight out of Suno often sounds close — but not released. Echoteka cleans the typical generation artifacts, masters to streaming loudness and shows you, in numbers, what changed.
Why AI tracks need their own mastering
Generated audio has a recognisable set of problems that a generic loudness maximiser makes worse, not better:
- Metallic ringing in cymbals, sibilants and reverb tails.
- Watery, smeared highs where the model or the stem separator lost detail.
- Uneven loudness between tracks generated in different sessions.
- Peaks close to 0 dBFS that distort after streaming encoders convert the file.
Pushing such a track louder brings the artifacts forward. That is why Echoteka cleans first and masters second.
What happens to your track
- Analyse. Loudness, true peak, dynamic range, crest factor and stereo are measured on the file you upload. This step is free.
- Clean. Artifact removal targets the ringing and watery noise typical of AI generation and stem separation.
- Shape. EQ, dynamics and width follow one of 24 genre profiles, or a reference track you choose.
- Limit. An oversampled true-peak limiter holds the ceiling at −1.0 dBTP.
- Verify. The master is measured again. If a target was missed, the report says so and says why.
The report you get
Every master comes with a before/after table: integrated loudness, true peak, loudness range, crest factor and stereo correlation, each with a status — target met, kept, or not reached. You can hand it to a distributor, a label or a collaborator.
Rights and files
You keep all rights to your track. Echoteka processes the file only to deliver your master. Whether you may release a generated track depends on the terms of the service you generated it with — check your Suno plan before distributing. Suno states that songs made on its free plan are for non-commercial use only.
Which Suno files work?
Any WAV or MP3 you downloaded from Suno, whatever the model version. WAV gives the cleanest result; an MP3 works, but its encoding losses cannot be undone. Tracks you downloaded from Udio earlier work the same way.
Will it make my track undetectable as AI?
No, and that is not the goal. Echoteka makes a track sound finished and measures the result; it does not hide where the music came from.
Can I master stems instead of the full mix?
Master the full mix first. If you separated stems, artifact cleanup helps with the watery noise separation leaves behind.
