When BandLab Mastering is the better choice
- You want to try several sounds for free. Switching between the free presets and hearing each one is quick and simple.
- You make the whole song in BandLab. Recording, mixing, mastering and release live in one app, on the web and on your phone.
- You want unlimited masters in one subscription. BandLab says membership lets you master as many tracks as you want, along with its other tools.
When Echoteka fits better
- Your song comes from Suno or another AI generator. The cleanup step targets the metallic ringing and watery highs these models leave behind — see AI artifact cleanup.
- You need a specific loudness. Choose a platform target such as −14 LUFS for Spotify; true peak is held at or under −1.0 dBTP. See loudness targets.
- You want proof in numbers. Every master comes with a before/after report — see what the report shows.
- You don't want another account. The free daily master works without signing up.
What we found in Suno exports
We measured 248 Suno exports uploaded for mastering. Most are not too loud for Spotify — the median is −14.3 LUFS and only 6% are louder than −10 LUFS. The bigger issue is dynamics: 40% have a loudness range under 5 LU. A good master for a Suno song is less about loudness and more about clean highs and controlled dynamics. Full data: Suno loudness report.
Compare them on your own track
- Master your track on BandLab with one of the free presets.
- Master the same file on Echoteka with today's free master.
- Measure both in the free LUFS checker, then compare them at the same loudness. A louder file always sounds “better” at first — match loudness before you judge.
Also compared: LANDR, eMastered, Masterchannel, Waves Online Mastering and iZotope Ozone.
BandLab Mastering is free — why use Echoteka?
For many demos BandLab's free presets are enough. Echoteka is for when the song comes from Suno or another AI generator and needs artifact cleanup, when you need a specific streaming loudness, or when you want a report that shows in numbers what changed. One full master a day on Echoteka is free too.
What do BandLab members get for mastering?
According to BandLab, Pro members get 4 extra presets (Natural, Cinematic, Spatial, Punch) and an intensity slider with 11 levels; Max members also get Mastering EQ and reference matching.
Which is better for Suno songs?
Echoteka has a dedicated cleanup step for the metallic ringing and watery highs of Suno exports and masters to a measured loudness target. BandLab applies the preset you choose. Try both on the same file and compare them at matched loudness.
Is Echoteka affiliated with BandLab?
