Echoteka 1.1: a free master every day and livelier sound
What's new in Echoteka 1.1: one free master every day with no account, free LUFS tools, a Suno loudness report, livelier masters at streaming loudness, breath control and gentler AI artifact cleanup.
Echoteka launched on September 29. Five days later, version 1.1 makes it free to try every single day — and makes the masters themselves sound livelier.
A free master every day
Everyone gets one full master a day — not a preview, the whole track as a WAV or MP3 with its report. No account is needed; days are counted in UTC. Create a free account and you get 3 bonus masters on top. Details: free AI mastering.
Free tools
- LUFS checker — integrated loudness, true peak and loudness range of any file, right in the browser.
- Mastering calculator — what loudness and peak ceiling each platform expects.
What we learned from 248 Suno exports
Most Suno tracks are not too loud for Spotify: the median is −14.3 LUFS and only 6% are louder than −10 LUFS. The bigger issue is dynamics — 40% have a loudness range under 5 LU. So a good master for a Suno song is less about loudness and more about clean highs and controlled dynamics. Full data: Suno loudness report.
Livelier at streaming loudness
At targets of −13 LUFS and quieter — Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, podcasts — multiband protection now sets its threshold from the track's own loud passages instead of one fixed value. Tracks keep more of their dynamics; on a 12-track test set in 8 genres the loudness range grew by 0.7–1 LU with no track missing its loudness. Loud targets keep full protection.
Breath control and gentler cleanup
- Breath control for voice brings loud breaths between phrases down to a natural level instead of cutting them out.
- AI artifact cleanup adjusts pitch only when the spectrum needs it, and after a master you can clean the same track in one click.
